BELLY PUMP FOR SUPER M

I have a Super M with a belly pump on it. First question is it actually called a farmall liftall or just a plain belly pump? Second question on the vent/filltube/return keeps spitting fluid out, is this cause its overfilled or is this normal? Wouldn't think its normal. I'm running a CROSS 3PT with it and 3PT runs great, only problem is the overflow from the vent cap. Do I just need a longer neck on the tube or do I have a problem?

Thanks,
Eric

If the return line from your two-way valve is plumbed in the filler pipe you may get some burping. You can extend the pipe to help stop overflow. Another way is to plumb the return into the drain in the bottom of the sump.

It is called a LiftAll. "Belly pump" is not exactly good marketing.

There should be a dipstick inside the fill tube on the LiftAll to show you the proper fluid level. If you fill it to the brim, it will always spit some fluid back out at you whenever you let the 3pt down and the fluid rushes back into the reservoir under pressure, assuming a pressure up gravity down (one way) setup.

If you've got a 2-way valve to get pressure up and down with the 3pt, you need to replace the vented cap with a regular pipe cap that is not vented. Originally the 2-way option came with a cap that had a valve on the vent. You closed the vent for the 2-way valve, and opened it when you used the 1-way LiftAll control.

I have a 2 way valve that has up and down pressure. When I close that vent off where does all the pressure go that the vent let out before?

With 2-way hydraulics, there is no increase or decrease of the amount of oil in the reservoir.(maybe a very small amount of volume increase with heat buildup) 1-way systems need venting to allow for the removal & replacement of oil as the system works.

To answer your first question, yes its called a Lift-All. I also have a Super M with the Lift All, but it doesn't leak out the fill tube. Maybe yours is overfull...

I'm wandering if I just overfilled it?
