![third party image](http://www.tractorshed.com/gallery/tphotos/a107363.jpg) OK folks, your opinions are requested to help on the resolution of a "discussion" my husband and I are having about what to do with one of our tractors. Although he does not post frequently on this board, he visits at least once a day, and has come to highly respect your views. So, thanks in advance, and here goes. The tractor in question is a SMTA gas, and we are the second owners. It came from a neighbor, spent its former life in front of a New Holland PTO hay baler, and has never done any more "serious" work. The original owner used one of those triangular-shaped brackets bolted directly to the U-shaped drawbar to haul the baler, and used the swinging drawbar (swung far left) only as a step to help him get into the seat - the swinging drawbar has never had anything hooked to it. The tractor is in original condition, meaning that except for the tires and battery, it's just like it rolled off the line. It has never been repainted except for some minor touch-ups here and there. The governor lock-wire is still in place, the battery hold-down is intact, the tin is straight, and the TA works fine. Since we collect the gas-start diesels of that era, this tractor doesn't fit into our lineup, and we both believe that such an unusual piece shouldn't be buried in the back of our shed for the duration. So, the question is, what to do with it? Sell it through the photo ads here on YT (but, how would we put a price on it?), put it up for auction here or on ebay, or donate it to a non-profit like the IHC Collectors club and take the tax write-off? I say sell it, and my husband says donate it. What do you folks think? We value your opinions, so, please pass them along. This is the real deal, not some Nigerian scam. Sorry for the long post, but this is a bit complicated, as you can see. Again, thanks in advance for your help. Virginia C.
