I just don't understand women. She says that I can't keep the F-20 in the dining room anymore. Now what am I supposed to do? I don't want her to get cold.

I keep mine in the basement, next to the furnace so they don't get cold. The paint cures nice. I'm getting nagged to get mine out of there too.

Sneaky wife will let you keep/build tractor in house, she knows what you're doing- not bar hopping and sleeping around- and can hit you up for new toys for her when you're done. reasonable wife will accept the 'I'm home where you can see I'm not getting in trouble' argument and just tell you to clean up when done. Nasty wife will let you finish then serve divorce papers and sieze the project to pay off lawyer. (this may backfire if project is motorcycle). RN

I had a container of fishing leeches get loose in the fridge one time.They went all over! My wife wasnt too happy!!! Tell your wife that one, maybe she will be ok with the parts!!! Steve

My wife has the same attitude and I just don't get it. All I did way to use the bathtub as a spray booth and she hit the ceiling. What did I do wrong?

It looks to me like you should be able to put the extension leaves in the table and then she will have room at one end. Or you just have more room to store F-20 parts.

My wife and I read this together. She said that she would probably just let me keep my tractor in the dinning room. Of course, I guess that if I assemble it there I will need to also add a bigger door so that I can get it out.

I am using this argument for a shop building, I want a real " Man Cave". I had a Farmall H motor in the basement for a year. That got her motivated.....

THAT hit home SO hard!.... about 25 yrs ago, when I redid my first tractor, it was an F-20. I lived in town, having moved from the country for my job. I worked over most of the parts in my basement, and at some point, almost all of them resided on the kitchen table...my wife, (hereinafter referred to as the "FIRST" wife, did not approve.) As a side note, I worked at a local Police Dept as an officer. The PD had a loading dock where I built a makeshift paint booth, and painted the parts one at a time, over the course of the winter, on my time off. One spring afternoon, as I was walking out to get my squad, the sunlight was just right through the open bay door, and I saw a light pink mist coat.... all over my nice white squad... and the other two also! You couldn't seen it unless the light hit them just right, but a rag w/ a dab of thinner, wiped over them, turned a healthy pink....I fortunately took a position with the state and resigned from that PD before anyone noticed. They rotated cars every year, and no one noticed before they were all gone...whew!

scott, i know how ya feel. i got hollered at for using the deep fryer to heat up a gear to press on a shaft. i even used corn oil..... go figgure....

Yeah I already caught hell for taking her plastic filing bin she uses for important papers and converting it to a sandblast cabinet. Oh, and her laundry basket is now an electrolysis tank. Really caught it for that one.

Maybe I'm dense, but I'm having some severe diffugilty apprehendin' the problem. Clean parts, no overspray on the table.

What could be wrong? Did she catch ya toastin the belt pulley in her oven or are you to that stage yet?

Just tell her its for your "craft" group project, then she'll see a senstive side of you and let you keep them there.... Or you could say that she can keep her jewlery on your cold work bench.. um second thought that a bad idea.. Oh well got to do what best for the girl (both of them) lol ;)
