Can anyone tell me if there are extreme differences in the engines used in the 10-20 and the engines used in the Regular and the F-14, for instance. I'm not talking about the internals, such as bore and stroke, but the outward appearance. My interest is in making a running model, say a 1/4 or 3/8 size. I have access to looking at a F-14, for the purposes of taking measurements, etc. Or, are all these engines completely different? Thanks for any and all replies. BEN

A F-14/F12 engine looks a lot different from a 10-20 engine. A F-30/W-30 engine is very similar to a 10-20 engine (many parts are the same.) but the 10-20 engine does not have a water pump. Thus, the water hoses are very different. A 10-20 engine looks a lot like a F-20/Regular engine but a little bit bigger. Bottom line, only a 10-20 engine looks like a 10-20 engine

Ben,
If you were to order the owners manual, or perhaps a parts book for the tractor your wanting to build, you could find most of the information you need. Might even save you a lot of work. ken

An F20 of Regular enginge would look similar but is not much smaller. I have seen Kohler light plant engines used on scale models. It won't be the same but the size and vintage will be correct.

F-12 and 14 are totally diferent. F-30 uses the same engine but is a row crop.
