I don't know about the 504, but my 340U has a manifold in which valves are stacked horizontally. I had to rebuild and put new Orings in all of mine. Each side is a machined surface, with O-rings grooves that seal one to another. . . the fluid passes from one valve to another thru three ports on their sides, which includes high pressure and low pressure. The long bolts are solid. My valves, from left to right, are the safety/pressure relief valve, Teledepth (Fasthitch) valve, and the two remotes that are used for my 1701 loader. The valves themselves have been used on many other models I have seen, including my 240U, which I also rebuilt. I see no reason why you could not add a 5th valve, providing longer bolts and that you have enough space to mount it. Another option is to remove the two plugs from the bottom of a valve and run to remote connectors. In that case both remote pairs will be controlled by that valve, so you would have to add additional valving in the lines to determine which remote you wish to be active.
