Here's a picture of the #2 cylinder between the sleeve and engine.

Here is the middle main bearing with the antifreeze drops on it, right below #2. #3 is in the background.

What do you guys think?

Thanks again

That does not look good! Are you fixing that engine or not?

Remember when these tractors were in their prime anti freeze for most farmers was cost prohibitive. Most were drained every nite and refilled the next day, this caused a lot of scale buildup in the block and heads, Also caused hot spots, especially on the sleeves,Eventually it caused the sleeves to crack, some didn't show up for years, others show up when the new antifreezes are used as they contain corrosion and rust inhibitors.Freeze cracks I have found will generally lock up the piston. My 2cents worth.

Old is right. It will be necessary to pull the sleeve to see what is going on. It probably could be repaired with a repair (thick) sleeve then rebored to fit the thin standard sleeve. JimN (I assume because I forgot, that this is a dry sleeve engine. If it is an A B C type wet sleeve, it is the sleeve seal O ring, JimN

Bad sleeve seals and or a cracked block either one or both can/will cause that problem
