I know a lot of equipment has been adapated for special use over the years, but I have never saw a Farmall A like this one found on ebay;

The undercarriage appears to have been made by a company;

This thing would make my AV look like a low clearance tractor.

Now that would be a neat tractor to cruise around on. Just imagine the looks you would get.

I saw some IH 544's or 444's (can't remember now) similar to that this summer in Western New York on my way to Red Power. They were made to use in the vineyards there. Had harvesters mounted on the frames on each side. Can't recall the name of the company that made the conversions, but it was an aftermarket factory deal. Looked very professionally designed and made. mike durhan

You would need a step ladder just to check the oil.

I have seen those, probably 30 years ago on a company's lot in SW KS, there were many other locations. Likely custom made -- in this area they would have been used as spray tractors, mainly for tall crops such as corn. They were the predesessors to modern high clearance sprayers.

Wow! That sure looks high! ;) I don't know who made it or if it is homemade, but my guess would be homemade? I have seen high tractors like that before, but they look better made than that one. I have once seen a John Deere B that was even higher than that Farmall A and the JD had a single front wheel!! Did not look like it would stand up in the wind!

Thats a neat looking Farmall A.

Thanks, Andy.
