We are from southeastern NC, so Cubs, Super As, 100"s, 130"s, 140"s are everywhere because they are well suited for tobacco. I had a great-uncle who lived in Southeastern VA for a long time and he brought back a couple of junk C"s. Both had the axles cut off after they were set to 6". Other ones that I"ve seen at shows around here are the same way. Is this common other places also? Any ideas on why this was done? Also, I"m going to use my Cub to cultivate my tobacco this year and I need a side dresser. Anybody have one for sale?

Yeah, it happens. I have a 100in. SC with axles cut just as close as they can be, the previous owner used it to pull a little feedwagon and needed to get close to the bunks. I have got the 80 and 88in. models also, the 100in. has axle housings that are 5 or 6 inches longer than the others.

The Farmall c ,super c came with a 80in. axles standard or with an optional 88in. or 100in. Not all the axles had the dimple in the end. but some people cut them off to get in tobacco barns or though gates.
