I finaly got a good brake drum and band with rod and all new seals for my 42 A. When reasembling
the bull gear does the side with the groove in the gear go towards the driver side or the wheel side. It may be obvious when I start reasembly
but I thought if it wasn't you guys would know.
Thanks Ray.

I do not know about the groove, but here is my idea. The retainer bolt will have left a mark on the side of the gear. This puts that side to where the bolt goes. The most worn side of each tooth is the driven side, so that would be to the back when looking at the top of the gear. JimN
