Has anyone had any experience with a 12v conversion for the Farmall H? Or maybe a link to an article?

I've put several delco alts on farmall m's I had to grind away part of the bottom of the alternatorto use orginal bracket. The big terminal goes to the battery( you can run thru a amp gauge). Number 2 goes to the big terminal. Number one run thru a diode back to your ignition switch.

On the left under Parts and Pieces, look for Farmall H Alternator Installation.

I converted my H several months ago. Bought the alternator at Ford tractor dealer. I had to build a new bracket for the alt. to hang on and bend the adj. bracket at the top. It is tite but I managed to get it up under the hood and not touching the valve cover, or hood. 1 wire from the alt to the amp gage terminal then 1 wire from the other amp gage terminal to the positive side of the bat. changed the bulbs to 12 V and it works great. it will show discharge at slow idle and you will have to get a new belt# L430 48x300 was what I used.
