Gary,
I could also use one of the male Pioneers.
I have a 300 with dual fittings in the rear, dual fittings on the leftt and a single fitting and plug on the right. Don't need it, yet, I'd just like to have it the same all around.

Do you suppose in reply to Allan In NE, 03-15-2008 05:21:59
that if I snuck my rusty, crusty old M into Allan's shop he'd notice it wasn't his before he had her all painted and fixed up?

He's only about five hours away..... ..... ..

He'd think 'twas all just a dream and start over from scratch... LOL

Wish my H was painted up nice like that. Already got the accesories I need, just missing a fresh clutch and paint. :)

I put that style IH coupler on my W9 about 30 years ago. They work fine. Much easier to connect under pressure than the Pioneer style.

We did something similar with ours, Dad put ends on the 3pt hoses to hook into this so he could use the hydrauilcs on the lift or for whatever he was pulling on the drawbar. He didnt trust those 3pt drawbars. I still have it like that, but the 3pt pretty much stays hooked up.

Yep it will work. There are a couple of holes on the side to mount it. Pretty simple setup.

Allen if you ever need any replacement innerds for those with the IH couplers, let me know.

Got a bunch of them laying around.

Masybe you'll do the same as I did and switch to the pioneer coupler?

Gary

Gary I might be interested as well. The rear connections on my Farmall 300 leak all over the place. I'll pay shipping. These are the fitting with a small ball on the male end. Not what I remember we had when I was younger on our 300U, M and 560. They each had a pointed male end. I guess I am not sure what is original for the Farmall 300, but it sure is different that what I remember. Guess I might be able to scavage parts from the front ones that I don't use.

I'm sure the pointed couplers were around in the days of the 560, we always called them an Internatonal coupler. They would hook up to the pioneer coupler and at first we thought they were compatible, however after dad had a heavy load of Iowa snow on the snow bucket and while he was lowering it,the loader locked up and it split the H in half. The dealer latter informed us we should use either both pioneer or both male and female International couplers, don't use one type male and one type female.

The reason you should only use matched couplers is, when you couple the pointed (IH) connector with a ball (Pioneer) style, the pointed end can slide off to the side and allow the ball to close.

We ought to do a trade.

I switch everything to the old style IH. Always liked those big fat ends. :>)

I have about 30 IH hose ends and 8 of the barrels that go inside that housing.

How many do you need?
