Not exactly the right subject but it is the right color. The Fire Department has a '63 c1300 that has a blown right front wheel cylinder. If anybody has any leads as to where to find parts,we would appreciate it.The old girl still goes downtown and gets the job done and we need to get her back on the road.Thank You.

According to my old Raybestos brake parts book, the '61-'67 130/1300 series uses a 1" wheel cylinder on the front...and the same wheel cylinder is used on 130/1300's all the way back to 1950. The right front wheel cylinder, in Raybestos, is WC-9696; the repair kit is WK-156.

Curiously, this is the same wheel cylinder used on my 1951 and 1952 L-110 1/2-ton pickups. NAPA or another QUALITY auto parts store should be able to cross these numbers over to their own brands; AutoZoo may not have that ability.

Try your Navistar big truck dealer. I was able to get a new fuse panel for a 1600 thru them some years ago. They are what is left of the IH truck dealers. My old fuse panel had a part number on it and they found the sub to the new number. Fit perfect.

If just the elastomer components are shot, this is a pretty simple deal - just a little time and effort.

If the cylinder casting is damaged, you will need to replace it. Some of the cylinders are hard to find,....BUT....I don't know if that is the case with the C1300.

NAPA, Carquest, or other parts stores should have rebuild-parts (likely in stock). Tear it down and see what you need, then take the parts in and match up the old with the new.

The last time I was in a Schucks store and asked about parts for a '52 IH L-series, I was told "we don't deal with anything that old."

I think the cups are 1 1/2 inch...they are on my 65 1600 LoadStar. Take the wheel cylinder off, clean, hone, put new cups, reinstall. I have had to do all 4 on mine at different times since owning it. the parts will be cheap, work will take a little time.

See there's a repair kit and hone the cylinder as Brownie suggested. Pep Boys may have a kit or a
new wheel cylinder. Hal

Can you just put wheel cyl, cups in after cleaning/ honing? Can't imagine this unit has more than 50,000 miles on it. Shouldn't have gotten a lot of road slop like a farm pickup. Check NAPA or Carquest for parts. I did the wheel cyls. on a 1975 CO 1610 a couple years ago, & Carquest had them on the shelf for $27 each---new cyl. ready to put on[all seals--piston--cups installed].
