49 M D Gaskets

Anyone know where to get a valve grind set of gaskets for the 49 MD.Also need torque values for the rods & head bolts I don't have a book that covers this.

Case still list it as a part on there website number is 305805R1. That is what you take to your Case IH dealer. I beleive that this is the number for a valve grind kit 261339R92. There are many parts still availble for this tractor through Case IH yet.

The gaskets are availble from your local IH dealer yet infact mine had 2 sets on hand that he just had laying around bought both of them for a good price. They are still made from IH though so a IH dealer can get them. There was a couple of sets on ebay this last week. The torque values are according to the IT manual are 110-135 lbs tightened evenly.

Thanks Jay for the response.Our local IH dealer's parts guys can't seem to get it through their heads what an MD is.One said I must have some kind of odd ball engine&trying to sell me gaskets for a gas M.I say local but their 125 miles away,so we only talk on the phone.
