What is the most you've ever seen paid for a normal, nothing special, H tractor? No super's, no HVs, nothing special about the serial #, (Eg #501), just a normal, run of the mill H. Just mention if they are restored, or original.

At auction last year saw average almost rough H with original complete cultivator set go for 950 and a 464 gas go for 1900. Sale was for original owner.

New tires will put it well over $1,000 alone. With prices going up and up, a $2000-2500 H is not suprising especially in excellent condition.

I don't know about that. If I really wanted an H and did not have the ability, know how, means, or desire to fix one up, a fully restored A++ one would easily be worth 5000. That would be a steal! Kudos to the guys who do the work, because it is truly a labor of love!

Paid 600 for one that needed the tranny gone through. Had set on the dealers lot for a couple of years. He was asking 1500 for it, but when i heard the tranny, I offered him 500 and he said 600 could take it home. Spent a couple of days, not counting waitng on parts, and sold it a couple of months later for 1200. I didnt make much off of it, but I wasnt trying to. Only reason I sold it was to have the funds for another tractor, a 200, which I sold to a buddy of mine who still uses it. Its more fun to me just to work on them.

Agreed. Working on these are fun! I buy them, tinker with them, and when I get bored with them I sell/trade them and the cycle continues. I have quite a few "work tractors" but there is nothing quite like the smaller Farmalls as far as "tinkerin" goes.
