I think of a lot of you all on here as family so I just wanted write you all a little note. My father went to be with his Lord at 12:15 AM Easter morning with my mom and I holding his hands. He was 85 and the best man I have ever known in my life.He was a best friend for 56 years for my mother and my role model of how to be a man,a husband and a father. I'll miss him for the rest of my life. I just wanted to let you all know that we have all lost another WWll vet and a good friend to all that new him from this countries greatest generation.

Paul, you and your family have my deepest condolences. I lost two close Uncles and an Aunt in the span of one week. It's not fair, it's not right, it just the way of things. May God bless and keep you, and I salute your Father.

I am not able to explain why I was thinking about you and your dad sometime late Saturday night/early Sunday morning and I was also thinking about my late dad. I hope it was a wonderful experience for you and your mom holding your dad's hands - it was one of the most wonderful experiences for me to hold my father's hands and talk to him when he left this life. And the part about your mom's best friend, tears rushed from my eyes as I remember, fondly, my best friend, now departed. My you all find Peace.

Paul, he will always be there next to you. Whenever you will be doing something, you will hear him talking to you. I lost my dad in 2001 just short of his 87th birthday. I feel him close by every day.
It is now our job to pass on to the next generation what was passed to us.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. We lost my Dad at age 86 in '01. After a few months, and still do, think of him and picture him in my mind as a 35 year old driving an Oliver 70. May God be with you and your family.

Paul: My condolences go out to you and your family. You mentioned some time ago your dad was failing. I lost my dad 30 years ago this past Jan., just never the same when they're not around.

Good Afternoon Paul, Very sorry to hear of your Pops passing ! I had my parents over for Easter yesterday, they are 83, and next week they are married 63 years, and enjoy all our time together ! My Pop was also in WW2 and the old timers are going at a fast rate, we try and spend as much time as possible with them ! God bless you and your family.

Condolences to you and your family. My father (also a WWII vet) passed back in 1999, and I think of him often. Usually when I drive his old C cutting hay. That was the first thing I ever drove while sitting on his lap when I was about 5 or 6.

I am so sorry Paul, but we both know he is in a better place. I was on line eary this morning and saw the death notice and thought it was proabley him. My prayers are with you.

Sorry for your loss. We are running out of the greatest generation. My FIL will be 80 this year and he was in basic training when the war ended. We owe them so much.
