I missed the first post you made, but are you talking about a fast hitch? If so, dad's 350 had a couple of loops(?) up by the rockshaft that yuou could take the lift rods off the lift arms and hook them up to. this would hold the drawbar in one position and not depend on the hydraulic cylinder to hold it.

That would be it.
If the cylinder on the hitch has quick couplers, it should stay where it was. Do not trust it the first time you disconnect. JimN

thanks Gary what we where talking about was to dis connect the hosesfrom the cylinder on the back of the tractor and turn that knob to hook up a single acting cylinder that is on the wheel rake i have . so what your saying is if i disconnect the lift it should stay in place if the lift cylinder is good. huh makes sence to me . I think lol

That valve sets the hydraulic in either Double on Single way pressure.

D For two way pressure "double"

S for "single" way presure.

If your draw bar leaks down your cylinder may need to be rebuilt.

Gary
