I went to the closet CIH dealer yesterday to get a sediment bowl assembly. I told by the partslady it was for a Super A. First she asked if it was gas or diesel. I told her I didn't think the SA was made in diesel. She said it was. Then she said she needed the serial number. I made one up and looking at the screen she told me the assembly was not available but she could order the screen, bowl, gasket, and body separately from various sources. I left. I will try TSC today but buy on E-Bay if necessary.

If you have a Fleet Farm or L&M Fleet Supply in your area, they have a sediment bowl assembly, I got one from Fleet Farm for $24.99.

Andy.

Brother just tried to install new after market sediment bowl on his F-20. Everything was going good till it just crumbled. Looks like a bad casting, all full of air holes. My two cents worth if you could get a OEM or NOS one it would be worth the extra money.

I bought a new sediment bowl assembly from CIH for my 2606 for about $50 about double what they are at TSC. The CIH one has a brass lever for a shut off. Well this new shutoff still would drip and leak. I finally replumbed it with a 1/4 turn ball valve in front of it. Anyway I don't trust the new CIH ones.

Vacherie: I just bought one from CaseIH, Feb 8th, part number 61782C91, cost me $38.93 CAD. If you buy it from CaseIH it will be exactly as the original. If you buy it elsewhere, it will have a light tin teehandle on the shutoff tap lever. I'm told those don't last well and your soon shutting off gas with vice grips.

This is a bit amusing as I told my guy I didn't need the bowl, gasket, screen or bail. He said he could order everything but the base or body as individual parts, but to order the base it is complete assembly and the part number I listed above.

Hugh

I called my closest CIH dealer that I wrote about earlier with the part number you gave me..The partslady quoted $32.50 and they had one in another branch and will be here Monday. Thanks for the help. I will report on the assembly after inspection.

Thanks Hugh. The next time I order any part I will use the part number from my parts book. You have been a great help on this site. Are you writing a book?
