I've seen a halftrack on forts 800,jubilee etc...anyone ever seen one on farmall...h,m etc? thought that was a great feature

Love to see any pics...even Ford or any brand...Thanks, Dan

This is a farmall H with half-tracks. I use it plowing several drives and for hauling logs. The weather beater cover is also great as long as the wind doesn't come from behind! Half-tracks work much better than chains.

I love the log hauler equipment...any brand names on it and/or other pics that I might try to weld something up...My Dodge 2500 lost one Tranny pulling logs out into the open but my H would love the work

Here are a couple photos of the log carrier. I constructed this myself as everything on the market was expensive, not rugged enough or too elaborate. The rear wheel unit is transported by pushing the tongue into a holder on the front unit and using the come-a-long to lift it off the ground. Makes it easy to move around in the woods. I can back up to the log, unhitch the rear carrier over the log, hook up the front, drive ahead and hook the back up. Works great.

Arps made most of the half tracks and had kits to fit most all production tractors. In the IHC line they had them to fit all from A size through M size. I think they quit making the half tracks in the late 50's after Arps was bought by another company, I think Blackhawk. They continued supplying parts for a number of years.

I've seen 2 M's with the half-tracks made by Blackhawk Co. of New Holstein, WI. They are no longer made but show up at auctions.

The guy who owns the M.s uses them when pulling firewood loads out of the woods during the winter. The more snow the better.

I've seen them on AC's and I think there is one in the pictures to the left on a Farmall C.

The ones I've seen are an aftermarket from Bombardier.
