She's a 1958 model. Just finished getting it re-done. Although I helped some I didn't do the major stuff. I picked it up last year to cut hay with. Now after a new TA, numerous seals, hoses, re-wiring, and paint, it should be good for another 50 years.
(My wife's only a '74 model :P )

I didn't pour them, so I cannot say what type of rim was used. I picked them up for free. I can get better/closer pictures tonight.

I too would like to see pictures. I don't plan on actually doing it, but I would like to see it in more detail.

All you need is a set of old truck rims and a bit of cement. I never specifically weighed them, but they feel like at least 80 lbs a peice.

Ok, I like the ingunity of the wheel weights, but I have a few questions. Are those dished budd or dually wheels? How did you mount them to the tractor wheel? Detailed pictures please.

Looks real sweet, I hope mine looks that good when I get it done. Cam shaft broke last fall when haying with it. Overhauled it and now getting it ready to paint. Haying season is about here again

I like the look of those rear weights. They are weights, aren't they? I've never seen any like it before.

Mike,
I have power steering  . It was used for loader work when I bought it. They were spaced out one more notch. That just didn't look right to me as I grew up with trike wheels all the way in. I think this spacing doesn't cut the ground as much while I'm cutting hay. I'm sure others will say otherwise, but I cut a crop at each spacing, and liked this one.[/quote]

More pictures of the '74 model please. :D just kidding.

Seriously, looks good! Do you find it harder to steer with the front wheels spaced out like that?

Our 300 has the front wheels set way out and it steers very easy, does not make any difference.

Andy.
