I am working on a Farmall H thet my brother is selling and I have spotted a couple of things on it I have never seen on an H before. The manifold doesn't look like the right one for an H, the flange where the carb bolts on is larger than the carb flange, and the holes are elongated. It also has what looks like three gussets cast into it at the base of the exhaust portion of the manifold, and these #'s cast below the gussets...IHS-002-G, and below that...9902. This doesn't look like anything I've seen on a Super H, 300, or 350. Also the lower half of the carb is aluminum, it appears to be the correct vintage, as it has the old style IHC logo. I'm just thinking if these parts are something rare, I might swap them out before we let it go. The ser.# is 243555x1, a 1947 model. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone, my manifold looks exactly like the one Mike was showing me, guess I wasn't looking closely when I was browsing e-bay. I am still curious about the float bowl on the carb, though.

The aluminum carb lower half is a bit unusual but is not rare. I've personally rebuilt one, and a mechanic friend of mine has worked on several. The aluminum body does have a tendency to warp, so check it over good. I do not know the story behind the aluminum carb body, or how it came to be.
