I have a 1948 Farmall Super A. I have been told I can fit it with a 3 point hitch. Can someone tell me what I need to do, and what parts I need to complete the task.

You can buy a kit. Probably around $400 these days. Go to Worksaver.com. Maximum lift capacity is 500 lbs or less depending on how good your touch control unit is. When you install the 3 point, the drawbar goes away, so you have to use a cross bar in the 3 point hitch for drawbar work. The lift range is also somewhat limited, so it does not work for all implements. I don't think I would try to plow with one. I used to use mine for a carry all, grader blade, and a small pickup disk. It also worked great with a post hole digger, but I had to adjust the hole digger so that it would pick up high enough to work. The down pressure was a big plus with the hole digger.

I just stole the parts off of an old Ford N tractor. Bolted the lower arms to the upper holes in the final drive, then to the rear "rockshafts. Had to put the crank on the left side to ballance the height. Top link mount was made to fit on the "rockshaft" crossmember. I wouldnt use it to pull a plow, but have put many hours on with York rakes, backblades, etc with great results. No problem with tracking at all. Mike :D

I bought a set of plans from Hugh MacKay that is very well done, complete with photographs and materials list.
