I did some work for a gentleman for the past month on his M and he has no money to pay me so he wants me to take his brush hog as payment. Its a King Kutter 6' pull type about 15 - 20 years old or so over all in nice shape with over ridding clutch. I told the guy that i would take it, but was wondering if i could run it with my H or mayybe my Super C for light grass and brush. I have a Super H, and have to STILL pick up my SMD, but was thinking of fuel use here and would like to use the H as that would be most efficant and best to use. and i was thinking that i would use the Super H and Super MD when i had to do some heavy duty brush hoging. Are they any good to use to hog with never used my antiques to brushhog soo any input is much appreactated !

Thanks for the Advice

Andrew

I use my 200 with a six foot rotary all summer long, when is real thick I just run in first gear and have the mower up then I cut it again...after that I have no problems. Brad

I doubt if the gear box on the king cutter is rated for much more than an H horse power, I would stick with the H and mow higher or often.

That King cutter is not a heavy duty unit to start with, so if you use it within its capabilities, the H should do just fine, and the Super C might even do it. Just be sure to use one of those over-running clutch adapters on the P.T.O.

The H will handle it, may be a little too much for the SC -- the key is that you said "light" brush and weeds. It will do "medium", what ever that is, also. Get into heavy enough weeds and grass and the 6 ft will pull an M down, but it has to be pretty dense stuff.
