I have high hopes of takeing the wide front
from a non running H and installing it on
a nice 300.
Am I going to run into an un-expected 'cant-do'
or a 'wont-fit' or a 'wish-I-had'nt' type supprize I'm sometimes known to find ?

Hello, do you want to sell the steering post from the 300, I need the steering post and the wedge. I have the schwartz wide front on mine and I have never seen a tractor cut this sharp in my life, it is nice but I want the row crop. My hubs and rims will work on the row crop so I do not need them. mine is a 1955 300 ex row crop. thanks

What type of wide front? Factory tierod-in-front? Schwartz/aftermarket? Later tierods-in-rear IH?
The original wide front that comes on an H is not correct for a 300. It will fit but it will look wrong and detract from the value of the tractor.
If you don't care about how much the tractor's worth, that's fine.

One other consideration is that the original factory wide fronts do not turn very short. You will lose a lot of maneuverability. Hopefully you have the plate to mount the front end in the rear position to help with that some.

Should bolt right up, the only thing that might not match would be a couple of holes in the frame for the braces.
