Putting new front tires on an H.

I would like to put new front tires on my H Farmall. I"m not sure I"m the guy who can do that; no tools or experience for that job. Seems like a regular "car tire" shop is not where I want to go with this job, since the rim/wheel assembly is nothing like a car wheel.
Any suggestions on how to get this done correctly?

Loosen the 3 nuts on 1 wheel first; then run the opposite tire up onto a 2 x 4 which will get the now loosened wheel off the ground and is a safe way to support the front end.

My suggestion is jack the front of the tractor up to get the front tires off the ground, then secure it very well. Remove the 3 bolts per side on each wheel and remove the tire/rim from the hub. Take the tire/rim to the tire place and they will remove and replace the old tires and tubes. Reverse the process to get it back on. Make sure to inspect the bolts and ensure they are worth putting back on. Replace if necessary.

LA, You can do it, But if you didn't come up in the years before tubeless tires it may be difficult. We had lots of flats in those days on our cars and trucks and most everyone knew how to break down a tire and fix it. Most all Co-Op locations in our area have tire shops that can handle tractor tires ,this may be your best bet. Ed

Farmall Ed, I grew up when the H and M was the biggest power in the Midwest. When I drove a Super M I couldn't imagine anyone needing more power than that baby could produce. Drove tractors pulling bundle wagons for threshing ring (some guys used horses for that). Wood Bros. thresher powered by D JD with no muffler.

Most of the tire shops around here have tire machines that will work on your H rim as well as a car wheel. Lee

Have the people you buy the tires from put them on, if they sell them, they should mount them. Jim
