I recently had to replace the TA clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. The bearing was completely gone and wore grooves in the pressure plate. Well the TA worked fine for a while and now when I pull the lever back it slips. You can apply the brake and it does not go anywhere. As I allow the lever to move foward the tractor takes off or if i hold the brake enough it will kill the engine. What should I do, is it just out of adjustment?

The one way clutch (sprag) is toast. Should have replaced it while you were in there.

I replaced the entire clutch and presure plate assembly, throw out bearing, the seal in the TA. Where is the one way clutch (sprag) located?

It"s not actually a sprag unless it"s an aftermarket heavy duty. It"s a ramp with 8 rollers. You need to pull the t/a out and split it in half just above the 4 bolts that hold the ramp in. I have replacement parts if you are interested feel free to email me.

go to the cnh website search for 560 parts it's under rear frame and driving mechanisms 152. When the picture comes up the ramp is part #11 the actual part number is 365402R11.

when you get the t/a out you may need to also machine your ramp roller surface on the 361281 carrier. And also the seal surface just under the t/a flywheel splines. With a .010 oversized roller the ramp area should measure 2.858 or higher and the seal surface should measure 2.933 or higher. Any other questions my email is open.

It is on the other (transmission) end of the TA.
