A truck dropped a new Saginaw 3 point hitch off in my yard today! My H"s easy life will soon be over! It will go from sledding logs and pulling firewood trailer to doing that plus grading, bushhogging, picking up heavy stuff with the boom, and of course a tractor show and drive for the "weekends off". Ordered the hitch tuesday morn, and it showed up wed afternoon around 2pm! Not Bad! Not sure yet as to what I will do as far as hydraulic control goes. Options are just use the belly pump as it is, or get the IH remote valve and have down pressure. Any good suggestions?

Thanks for the heads up on the holes guys. I don"t have the H here right now as it is 45 min away in the woods, but may go get it today. I will post what I find on the hook up.

The drawbar holes are in the right spot for the orig. "U" drawbar sad to say. I have three different after market hitches (Itco, TSC.,unsure about the 3rd. one but not a Saginaw) and they were drilled the same. A neighbor had a cornhusker hitch and it was drilled the same. I think mabey the only hitch tohave a functional drawbar were the ones built by the Paul Abbot Co. in the state of Ak. I had to build my own drawbars. By the way make sure you get a cat. 2 quick hitch to add to that 3pt! Armand

Bobby-O: Funny you should mention that; my Saginaw arrived here last Tuesday week ago - just under the wire at the old price. I already have it installed on my Super M, but have yet to have the hydraulic lines made up. I have a remote (2-way) valve, and I am going to put this "lazy M" to work also.

One thing I noticed about my Saginaw, is that the holes are drilled wrong (too wide) to reinstall the old drawbar on the Saginaw. My drawbar won't fit, and when I compared measurements to my SH drawbar, it validated to me that the holes were wrong - not that my drawbar was sprung out of shape as the guy at Saginaw suggested. Please let me know if you have the same problem, or not. Thanks. mike (Red Mist)[b:d2d603607b][/b:d2d603607b]

Bob,
Good to hear your hitch arrived.Wondering if you are still interested in the auxiliary control valve? I could do a little better on the price I gave you.Email is open.

Go all the way! Live hyd, pump! At least 2-valve (a 3-valve would be better) and you definatly want down pressure! We have 2 M's with 6-vale hyd., live pumps, loaders. and 3-point hitches and would not change a thing! Armand

I had considered live pump, but i would have to find the delco dist and all the parts and put it on when the belly pump works fine. I may change my mind on that later but I am used to non live hydros having spent a "lifetime" on a ferguson. I just plan my raises and lowers ahead while I am moving. My M does have live on it but it seems too slow since it also runs the power steering.

I have a 48 H with a belly pump and the Saginaw hitch on it. Works great. Nice thing about the Saginaw is that it has adjustment on both lift arms. Makes hitching up easier. And the H is real easy on fuel.
