We've been trying to get an F-20 to run. Put in new plugs, wires, coil, condenser,cap and points. No stuck valves, it fires but won't stay running. Our guess is its out of time, but I don't have the least idea how to time it. Any suggestions at this point would be great, because we don't know what else to do.

Thanks;

Larry

You didn't mention whether you have eliminated fuel problems from the equation. Check to see there is a constant steady stream of fuel running out of the fuel bowl drain cock. Regards, Redfan.

Didi you take the mag off?If so take it back off and turn it around until the coupling will go back in,turn it 180 degrees.You may have gotten it out of time that way.If not take of the valve cover set the no. 1 at TDC and both valves closed.Check and see if the rass part of the rotor is at the no. 1 position on the mag via the cap.If all of that is ok could have a fuel problem.
