I would like to know what year the IH FCUB model was made with a serial # 70651. I have tried the serial number list, but didn't see one for numbers starting with a 70. Also, the plate states that the model is FCUB, What exactly is the model name for this tractor?

A.D., Your Cub is a 1949 and the model is just CUB. It's kind of like Chevy Impala. Farmall is the Manufactorer, Cub is the model. Happy tractoring//FB

The Manufacturer is not Farmall- Manufacturer is International Harvester (like General Motors), Line is McCormick (sort of like Chevy, but not an exact parallel), Farmall identifies it as being a row crop tractor (the Farmall name was applied to domestic U.S. row crop tractors and some directly mounted implements, and was never a seperate division or corporate entity. The name was also applied to a few foreign IH tractors, but seemed to never be popular). The Cub name applies to row crop small tractor IH made. At first, there was only the Cub, but then the Cub line expanded, using the same tranmission and sometimes the engine into the Cub Lo-Boy, the Cub 154 and 184, and the Cub Cadets.
