Dad's 1940 H seems to catch when sitting for a week or more. You can feel it as you back out of the barn for about 20 feet and when you pull forward for about 5 feet then it smooths out. Transmission was low, filled it but still having same problem. It seems to be exagerated when brakes are applied but only when first moved. If tractor is used a couple times a week it seems normal. Thanks for your input.

Grady I agree with Bob M. I would suggest you remove the brake covers and inspect the internal condition of the brake bands. How far are you pushing the brake pedals before you start feeling it braking? If you are only pushing the pedals an inch or so, those brakes are too tight.
