Tractors Ad Number: 75440 Date Posted: 07/27/2004 Location: Beausejour, Manitoba ROE OCO Description
IHC 560 Wheatland Diesel with pto, hyds and TA. Good starter and runner, new muffler, good rubber and sheet metal. Serial #3329. Can arrange shipping. $1675 US This is add #75440 as it was written by Vern Otto .. Look it up your self under Photo ads (archived ads home )(just use the search) also look up #75596 same tractor same ad..This is the tractor I wired monies for and paid for. After and only after I Had paid for the tractor was I told anything about it needing tuning up . Before I went to pick up the tractor (3 months latter because of his shipping delays not mine)I asked Vern what I would need to start it and put it on my trailer and was told (oh maybe some either if its to cold) after 1 1/2 hours we finally got it started and the white smoke poured out ) Antifreeze was at 20 above and it eats water ,pulled head ,big crack,.First he said it ran good now he said he had to pull it on the trailer. His story always changes But my 1675 dollar tractor cost me 3240 dollars and I did a engine change that I really did not want to do.Everything I was told in the ad was not true if you buy from him I can only hope you have better luck than I did..Of course he now says it ran fine when it left here..This is all I have to say on the matter... And thanks Kim for setting this up for us..

Jim Ward called me on a 560 IH which I had just sold for $2500. He asked me if I had anything else, I told him I had another 560 which the fellow hadn't used for 5 years. He asked me if I would get it running which I did. I offered this tractor to him for $1575 including border fees (as is) as I didn't have the time to check it through if indeed it needed anything. I also told him he was buying it for a $1000 less than the last one that sold. The reason it was pulled on the trailor was because another Diesel tractor which was in a heated shop was loaded in front of the 560 and to me it made no sense starting another diesel engine on a cold morning just to move it 50 feet and onto a trailor.

Just a quick observation of this exchange.

I belive both of these guys. I belive both are mad at each other. Why? Miscomunication on both sides.

Buyer- When a profesional tractor reseller offers to sell the same tractor for $1000 less. He is not just trying to be nice. There is a reason for this. Find out what it is. The I didnt get a chance to look at it yet is B.S. He knew what he was buying when he got it.

Seller-Tell the buyer. " I havent had a chance to really check it out. I did notice that it may need a head gasket. Maybe some other work. How about I give it to you as is for $1000 less than the other 560. I dont have to mess with it and you fix any thing it needs. Fair enough?"

Being vauge is not a defence. I find it hard to believe. That you didnt know at the very least it had a bad head gasket.
