I have had dealings with wade before on tractors. he tells the truth about them. have never seen anything dishonest about him. very proud of 560 i bought off him. it was every thing he says it was. thats the truth and i;m sticking with it. so dont be knocking one of our honest sellers down. your story sounds fabricated.

I have hauled from Jeff's farm for several customers I find it hard to beleive that Jeff would do what he has been accused of. He went out of his way to help load the equiptment, went on about his business, and even checked back to make sure I didn't need any further assistance before I left. Just a real nice guy in my opinion to do business with. One of those guys that when they say they will do something you know it will get done.

I'd say the seller would be responsible for making sure the tractor went on the right truck,
right person etc.I've sold a few things over the phone and call the buyer if I'm not familar with the trucker at pickup or if ANYTHING seems not above board. When I'm the buyer I phone the seller as soon as shipping arrangements are made to let them know what is happening and who/when the item is to be picked up

Hi Steve,

I think you need too think this one thru a bit more before you scream foul on the ohiolandcompany. You didn't say who arranged shipping.

From what little you've told us, I see that a possible theft has occured and would file a theft report with the Ohio Sheriff Department for that county.

Only then if the ohiolandcompany was found at fault on the transaction could you post a negitive comment.

Sure makes a person think about getting a copy of the shippers drivers license and truck registeration when they pick up a load.

I have thought this through and the facts are that Ohiolandcompany has my $3675 and I have promises. I acted in good faith. They promised to repay the money and I believed them. I agreed to payments, I agreed to wait until they sold another tractor, I agreed to wait until they harvested and it is now 9 months later and still no tractor or refund. Don't you think that if someone other than the buyer picked up this item that some ID would have been in order? I have all documentation, including e-mails, on this transaction. I did not make any shipping arrangements, I only shopped prices. I made the trip from California to Indiana pulling a flat bed before I knew that the tractor was not there. It was an expensive trip for nothing.

I just happened across your discussion and thought I might say something. It seems you sent money for an advertised tractor and when you went to get it, you were told someone had already picked it up. Did you see photos of the tractor? What form was the payment? Cashiers check, personal check, money order, WESTERN UNION?
Did you tell the seller you would pick it up and when you would arrive? Were there other tractors at the location? How private were your negotations to final agreement? I think it's time to file a police report of stolen property or internet fraud. You might consider suing in small claims court for the maximum amount allowed. Unfortunately it would probably have to be in Indiana. If you win, put a lien on their real property. If you're in the KGO listening area, Go to KGO.com and look up Len Tillum. I think he's on Sunday 4-7pm and a weekday. They just changed his schedule. Ask him what your options are or contact a local lawyer for advice. Many have free initial consultation.

Steve, sorry about your luck, but I wondered if you might describe the tractor, maybe with a little detail in the hopes of someone knowing about it. Just trying to help. Bob

I have buoght a lot of machinery from Ohiolandcompany on Ebay. The guy's name is Jeff Wade. He is a farmer who sells equipment on the side. He has always been fair and honest with me. He is also very helpful with loading and shipping. A real good guy. I think there is a misunderstanding here.

I'll come in here to say I know Jeff Wade and have bought equipment from him. So far as I concerned, he is as straight as an arrow. Jeff is a millionaire many times over and you'd never know it by looking at him.....he's a hard working farmer (over 6000 acres) and dresses like one. He has no need to steal or rip anybody off. He told me about selling a tractor to man once..but supposedly the tractor never arrived there. Seems the hauler parked the truck beside the road and went to a truck stop and eat and when he came out....why the tractor was gone. Hmmm. So Jeff gives the buyer his money back. Strange thing is, a tractor identical to the one he sold shows up on the buyers farm and has been seen working in the fields. So, Jeff was out a tractor and the money. Legal pursuit? He just laughed and said by time he hired attorneys and investigators out of state and so forth, it'd cost more than the tractor was worth. Steve, I am sorry you lost your money and personally, I owe Jeff Wade nothing. But I honestly don't think the man would rip you off. Whomever loaded up your tractor and hauled it away is the crook. Oh yes, Jeff Wade aka Ohiolandcompany, is located west of Circleville, OHIO and south of Columbus....a good drive east of Indiana. If the time comes that it can be proven that Jeff Wade is a thief and a crook, I will apologize to everybody and retract everything I have said on his behalf. I don't think that will happen.

I drove north today into Ohio and bought a hammer mill and stopped by Jeff Wade's place and bought a couple more items.

I heard all I needed to.

I'll continue to trade with Jeff Wade.
