I bought a Cockshutt 570 from this [boy]. I asked if the tractor had power steering, he said it did not but it drove like it did have. The tractor does indeed have power steering but is completely worn out, it has a round and a half play in it. I asked about the brakes, the boy said the brakes were great, it had absolutely no brakes at all. I am sure he had never been on this tractor befor. The only way to buy from him is to go look and try it out. The only questions you should ask him is for directions. Buyer beware!!!

and you probably jewed with him,im sure you noticed this stuff before ya bought the tractor,I really dont think anyone could please some of you people,ya want a warranty on a 50-60 year old tractor, and expect it to be like new,all you people do is complain,go buy a new tractor if ya want it perfect,if he gave it to ya and $500 you would still complain as you wanted $505,really people get a life!

In many transactions with HONEST folks, this is the case. Not with Ben Burns. He is out to rip people off.

NebrJDBob - Wow -That is amazing- that is the same line Ben Burns gave me after he completely misrepresented a Case 830 tractor that he sold me...I paid good money for it and had it shipped 800 miles and I got SCREWED. This was the most expensive lesson I ever learned and hope it never happens to you! Janesville tractor = Ben Burns

Careful! Read the instructions for the forum. There are to be no personal attacks on buyers or sellers. Besides, I think your analysis has a few flaws. Though I have never met Roger, I can speak for quite a few other collectors. We don't expect warranty or a mint-shape tractor in this hobby. What we do like to see, though, is a tractor to be properly represented. I'm not a major tractor buyer, but I would certainly be mad if I bought a tractor that was misrepresented!

We realize that these are old.....DUH, that is why we buy them. We ask questions like, "has it been recently overhauled?", if they are not sure of the answer, it should be, "I do not know". Instead, you get sales hype answers like, "It sure runs like it has been overhauled", or, "I was told that it has been overhauled". After a while, you learn to hear some of the liers, but you still can't catch all of them.
They love to sell a bad tractor, but I'll bet they don't want a bad check?
