Don't send things by way of uncle sam if something happens you are screwed. Got a box from some one, will not name because hes a good guy but the postal service lost what was in the box and they are not doing much to find/replace it. At least if you send it UPS it is insured for $100 no matter what

How come you didn't insure it with them yes the ups does but it is already figured in the ship bill the postal you have choice if want to or not. I use it all time to send packages. they all have problems no matter who it is sometimes. Don't you.

LOL, right. Not only have my packages went poof, so has any help from UPS. I now use Fed-Ex and am extremely happy with them. Cheaper, alot of the time faster and no lost packages so far.

Good Luck with UPS. Had a couple of bad dealings with them unless you open the package when they are still there. Still seems to be the best way to ship, though.

I have had UPS back out on 3 different claims due to them blaming the problem on unproper packing. One was fully packed with styrofoam peanuts & they say that is not an approved way to pack.

Just in defense of the big shippers. Don't matter who it is Ship is gonna happen once in a while. Your package does not travel in a vacuum all these companies handle thousand maybe even close to million packages a day. Yes your package is going to get thrown yes your package is gonna get something heavy tossed on top of it. Yes your parcel is gonna get dumped from a container onto an automated sorter. The secret is packaging, pack it well over pack the crap out of it Make sure the address is clear go as far as putting the address inside the package taped to the item. At work we have a corner of the building dedicated to rewrap cause people seem to think that parcels are handled like grammas layer cake. Insure it! insurance is cheap and is great peace of mind. Folks always balk at insurance saying "I've never had a problem" then when there is one they bad mouth all over the place. Do it right do it once.
