Let's face it, scams are everywhere, they are not just focused on YTMAG web site ads. By now, most people should be able to recognize a scam. Here are rules to follow, if in doubt, if it sounds too good to be true, ask for cash only. Good buyers have cash, scammers never want to sent cash or send you money. No one is going to actually offer you more than you are asking. Just use common sense and most of this will pass. They do not fish where they do not catch much.

I received a Cashiers check for $$5000 more than I was asking from paulbuyer1960@yahoo.co.uk) and he asked me to wire it to him. I called the bank where the check was drawn and they said THE CHECK WAS NO GOOD for $22,500..... ..Too good to be true? Yep I called the FBI hope it helps to stop[ this scammer

I received a check for *thousands* more than my asking price. It looks like a real check but if you call the bank they will tell you the check number is not valid, and the signature does not correspond to any employee there. The issuer name is not listed in the phone directory, either.

In my case, I had shown a phone number in my communications so I had the added annoyance of someone with a thick foreign accent calling me at 2 AM demanding "his money". The whole attempt is so crude and stupid, you wonder why they persist.
