Why is is that Vern Otto posts his tractors in the classifieds when it states NO Dealers?

I purchased a 400 case from vern last year. I believe Vern may be a scalper or jockie and not a dealer. I know !!! I know!!!! Most people would classify them as dealers. I would not. I have owned a 100 antique tractors in the last 25 years and I am not a dealer. I am basically a JD person but when I got a 70diesel std home and looked it over I decided I would never restore it because of the sheet metal work so I moved it on.In our local club a lot of tractors change hands for various reasons but these people are not dealers.I have purchased several tractors from these jockies and find most may overlook a small detail or two but they are basically honest.Vern has been very straight with me and I would buy another tractor from him.I believe the real problem with buying over the tele is not knowing the right questions to ask--always ask specific questions and leave the general questions for the grandkids-----Neale

For somebody to ask every detail you are talking about a 20 page list. The seller should be honest to tell breaks and welds etc.. Look at my post above, 4010 block.

Is this guy located in Manitoba, Canada? Obviously he is a dealer and is probably not paying his required income tax on what he sells. The Canadian taxation branch has an "informer" line for situations like this. Just a simple computer check by them on what he has listed here over the past few years would sting him pretty good. Once those guys get on his tail, they are relentless let me tell you.

He pays for dealer ads in the Photo Ads... where else are you seeing the ads, in the regular classifieds?

Could it be the same reason that the guy from KY post groups of ads at a time, has been for over a year, same old stuff most of it, and it is obvious he is a dealer.
He has had his hand called on it by several on this board, but he ignores it. Might be why he still has most of the same stuff for sale.
