Not to take sides, but we just purchased and pickup up (ourselves) a tractor from him.It was well represented. Also hauled a couple more back to another guy,who hadn"t even sent the money for them yet.All I"m getting at is:1 if you have doubts go there.we made a 1600 mile round trip to do it right.2 if is doesn"t seem right DO NOT do it.This is meerly a suggestion to future buyers

I have bought from Vern before and had no problem. He always explained everything right to me. I bought a JD720D Standard at a good price and he told me that the pony didn't run so he gave me a deal. All it needed was coils and points. One of the best Starting and running Ponys I have ever Seen. The Tractor is a great Tractor. I use it quit often. I have bought several Tractors from Vern over the years and been well Pleased.

No one can disagree with seeing the stuff up close before making a commitment. But let's be honest and real here, not everyone can do that. So, you are implying that sellers limit their sells to the folks that can come in person before makng a payment or purchase. That will not set well with most sellers, they want to turn the money as soon as possible.
It is also not fair to many buyers, for you are telling them that if they cannot drive to see it up close, they cannot aquire it. Not good.
Would it not be a better world if all of the stuff that we wanted was just a drive down the road? Would it not be a better world if someone named the seller had been honest about that gaping obvious hole in the block of that 4020?
The bottom line is this, just becasue a guy makes one or more clean sales does not remove him from the bad list when he has blatantly lied about a hole that large.
A bank robber giving all or part of his take to starving people does not relieve him from being a bank robber, now does it?
