Sediment bowl

My sediment bowl doesn't want to come off. I'm afraid I'll break it. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting this thing off without shattering it? I've tried an oil filter wrench with rubber hose packing, but it just slips around.

Any help is appreciated.

Also, what interchangeable fuel/sediment assemblies are there for a TEA-20? Tractor Supply has a lot of Ford & Massey parts real cheap.

Thanks,
NCtim

I had the same problem with my TEA-30 When I did get it off it was in such bad shape that I had to replace it. Trouble with my Massey dealer here in Ontario is that he said they dont make them anymore. But, The sediment bowl from a Massey 35 works perfectly. I bought a new one for $35.00 and it screws right onto the bottom of the tank just fine. Now I can shut of the gas when my tractor is not inuse. Good luck

Are you talking about the glass bowl or the whole unit screwed into the tank? You might have to use vice grips if the part you put the wrench on is striped. It will break free and you should replace it with a new one. Have them order one at the Massey Dealer it is good to use the right one and you don't want to leak gas! As far as the glass part if you are having that much trouble with it replace the whole set up cause you need to clean it often and you should not need a wrench to do it. Mark H.
