I have a radiator that has a hairline crack around the bracket connection located on the radiator where a small Brace rod connects to the radiator. It had been repaired before I got the tractor. Over the years the repaired area had been leaking. I usually justed added water and antifreeze. I need to get it repaired. If it can be repaired can I eliminated the brace connecting rod an just let the radiator hose hold the radiator in position. I belive the previous repair didn't hold because the brace rod connection couldn't stand the vibrations. If I have to replace the radiator give me a source that will fit. Thanks Bill H.

hey Bill

I feel your pain. My bracket gets repaired every year.I think this year I am going to remove the bracket on the radiator and put a spacer between it and the radiator.I think the radiator is being pulled toward the engine too hard, causing the problem.By the way this is a new radiator only 2 years old,I bought it on Ebay for $120. Good Luck

The radiator sets on 1/8" rubber pads to allow for movement, don't overtighten the bolts. New radiators are available from the YT suppliers listed at the left. Use the search box, select massey, cooling system, then type in radiator.
