Hi!
I read on another website that Harry Ferguson invented the detachable ball joint. Was this used on the TEA, and how do they "detach"?

Yes the ball joints are at either end of the lower link arms, they side on to pins on the axle casing and retained by castellated nuts and splitpins at onto implements at the other end and retained by lynch pins. They are also used on some top links. When they become to worn to be serviceable they can be renewed with weld on replacements saving the cost of a complete arm

The only place where I have seen early "detachable ball joints" is on a spec photo of a Massey Ferguson 165.
They detached about 1 inch away from the actual ball, so that cat2 ball joints could be fitted.
Don't think ANY were made for fergies because they all used cat1 ball joints!
