I just purchased a '58 FE-35 that runs great. I came with implements (dish set/plow/pto bale fork/snow blade/roller/etc). I have been reading your forum and would like to know what info could be relevant. I see postings for MF-35 & 35 Deluxes etc.. but I don't know how much is going to be similar the FE-35. Mine is a 4 cyl diesel/live pto. Any direction will be helpful, including any online info regarding using these attachments safely & effectively (new hobby horse farmer(?)).

Thanks, Big Steve

Hi Big Steve -

I assume this is your first fergie - Welcome to the clan! You now have one of the best tractors ever built in it's HP class!

Your machine is nearly identical to the ones built on this side of the pond - except for the Lucas electrics, and the steering box. So most of what you read will be applicable.

If you need a service manual, the I&T book MF-14 covers your engine and everything else - except the electrics and steering box.

And you'll find more discussion on the 35 on the Massey site choice at the top rather than this H. Ferguson board. Lots of knowledgeable chaps on both!

Jack

Hi Steve
Sounds like you have a good buy there
The FE35 was built at coventry England from 1956-1958 and was the fore runner to the MF35 which was built from 1958-1959 and the paint changed to red tin and grey castings, it was still fitted with the same engine, in 1959-1962 the engine changed to the perkins 3 cylinder 3.152, and in 1962-1964 the engine change to the perkins A3.152.
lots of other changes were made over the years but as you have the FE35 any questions you would like to ask me just e-mail me as I also have a 1957 FE35 and am just giving it a overhaul and respray.
