I've recently purchsed a Ferguson tractor. I'm wondering if there is any other VIN plate anywhere. I don't know what year it is. All I can find is "TEA265322". Can anyone tell me what year and model this is?

Thanks

It's a 1952 TEA20. Earlier ones had 80 mm pistons and were 23.9 hp, but at around serial number 172000 they went up to 85 mm pistons, which yielded 28 hp. Some people refer to your model as a Ferguson 20-85. Same thing as a TEA20 but the 85 identifies the engine size.
The "T" means it's a tractor, the "E" means it was made in England, and the "A" means the engine was made by the Standard Motor Company. I don't know what the 20 means.

Look to the left of this page under Research & Info, go to serial numbers.

I have a Harry Fergerson To 20.The serial # is 18823.I was told that it was a 49 year model. But as i search the serial number on this site.It showed that mine is a 1959 model.Have i been told all this time that i had something that actually i didn't?I never really payed any attention to it,heck all i do is get on it and work it.When i get a tune up kit i ask for one for a 1949 H.F..But i guess it really doesn't matter since all take pretty much the same kit.Another question.Do they make a pointless distributor for these tractors.

Yes, in a way. Genesee Products (on the left side of the main page) makes an electronic ignition system that I'm extremely happy with.
