I'm lookng at a Ferguson diesel tractor made in England.

The serial number is TEF384607.

Can I assume this is a model TEF20?
If so, is it the same basic tractor as the TO20 and are the parts interchangable?

Who make is the diesel engine for this tractor and where are parts available?

What year wast the tractor Manufactured?

Thanks for any info.

Andy

You are looking at a 1954 TE-20 made in Coventry England UK. It was exported all over the world, and is fitted with a diesel engine made by the STANDARD MOTOR Co.Ltd. of Coventry, As to were to get parts from will depend on were you live, but all parts are available and the firm SPAREX have all parts but are not made by the origanal manafacturers, how ever they do produce a very good parts book with all the ogiginal part no. and there own part no. in, as well as exploded pictures of all sections of the tractor and covers TEA20,TED20 AND TEF20
if it is engine parts you require you must get the engine serial no. off it, as over the years the engine was modifyd. As to the TO20 that was made in Detroit and some parts do differ
hope this is of use and if you need more info just e-mail me.

TE = Coventry built with imported Continental
Z120 engine.
TEA = Coventry built with Standard petrol engine.
TED = Coventry built with Standard petrol/paraffin engine.
TEF = Coventry built with Standard diesel engine.

There were lots of other letter codes indicating industrial, or narrow or vineyard, etc models.
