I have a Successful Farming magazine from May of 1947 that has an ad in it announcing Harry Ferguson's "Huge New Factory..." in Cleveland, Ohio to build the Ferguson tractors. There is a photo of the factory...it is big...but I cannot find anyone around Cleveland who knows where this building was in 1947. Additionally, Ferguson people have told me the the Fergusons when made in the US were only made in the Detroit, MI area. Can any one out there shed any light on this one?

Does TO in the model numbers mean that the tractors were made in Ohio?

If you are still interested in the Cleveland plant which was to be the original Ferguson factory but was abandoned because of financial strife, read the article int the Ferguson Furrows, Dec 2001 issue. To receive a copy, contact Paul Nelson at 4140 Stryker Rd, Las Cruces, NM88005. A building was purchased from US gov war surplus but sold to GM after the financing fell thru.

Visit the H. Ferguson page and click on the link to: "The unofficial Harry Ferguson Page". There you'll find the complete history of Harry Ferguson.
