I'm looking to purchase a small hay wagon just to work around the farm yard. I have heard that I should always tow from the draw bar attachment on the bottom of the differential and not a cross bar on the lower control arms.

I have never tried to hook up a wagon before. Can you guys give me any tips on how to configure the hitch?

Thanks, Boogity (OH)

I think you have a tractor with a 3 point hitch but not a draw bar hitch. You need a draw bar for the lift arms and two bars that go between the top link and the lower arms to hold it up.(you turn off your PTO) It will cost about 40.00 for all of it new. I hope this helps. kjm

Of course lower draw bar is best. Main thing is keep it below the axle. As to hitch, depends on trailer tongue. A verticle "U" type tongue would be good, just slide it over hole in bar and drop pin thru it. You could even use a ball type hitch. Any trailer or farm supply sells the trailer tongue ball ends if you need to adapt.
