Bob, You need the Ferguson three ton trailer instruction book, publication no 819 076 M1, which will give you all the info you will need, including exploded drawings and parts numbers. You should be able to get one from F.O.F.H., but if not I have a photo copy, (not very good) which I could copy again for you.
Peter.

Yes the ORC is important.

To tell if you have one or not you can look at the PTO. if it is just a 5/8 shaft comming out of the fame then you will need one. If the PTO looks like a 2 to 3 inch diameter housing with a 3/4 inch shaft and grease nipples then you have a ORC. To test you can engage the PTO with the tractor off and then try to hand turn the PTO it should only turn one way and you should hear a clicking noise. Do not forget to disengage the PTO.

Second function of the ORC is as an adaptor for the now standard 3/4 inch dia. splines. The early fregy's had a 5/8 inch dia. spline. (Although I am not sure about the TO-30)

Joe, I think the original PTO shaft should be a 1 and 1/8 inch diameter, at least I think that is what mine is. Terry G

Like I said in the thread that this post applies ... not enough coffee. Ignore my dimensions. I don't know what I was thinking.
