Front end weight bar

Here is a picture of how I made the support to hold the bumper. I did not want to hange it off the axle itself due to the weight. Mark H.

This is one I made and it weights 200 lbs. It is bolted to the Axle Support Housing. I took a peice of 6 inch chanel steel and drilled the flat bottom to match the holes in the housing. Then I welded 2-recever hitch style box steel to the ends of the chanel. The round steel was welded to to box steel ends that fit into the recivers. This way I can slip it in when needed and slip in my bumper the rest of the time. You can open the hood with this setup but it takes a floor jack to lift it up to put it on if you are by yourself. This allows me to use my fork lift to maxium weight 1,000 lbs and the front end still stays down to steer. With no load on the rear it is hard to steer with this much extra weight on the front end so I do not leave it on unless needed. Mark H.
