After having several strokes I've decided to get away from the stress and turmoil of my high pressure job. I'm considering doing power equipment repair out of my garage on a small scale. I have done all of my own, all of my relatives, and most of my neighbor's power equipment repairs for the past 25 years and I seem to do very well with it. Last spring I completely overhauled my '53 TO-30 and loved every minute of it. It purrs like a kitten now.

Does anyone out there know if I can get the small engine specifications for Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, Honda, etc. on the internet? I'm looking for things like tollerances for bearings and journals, bore, piston clearance, ring gap, and the like. I have gone to the mfg's websites and there is great information there but the details don't seem to be there. My Chilton's small engine guide offers plenty of good info. but not for many of the newer mower engines.

Any suggestions? I plan to go to the B&S certification school this coming fall. We'll see if they can teach an old dog new tricks.

Thanks guys.
