Good Morning Everyone
A question if I may, I am attempting to remove an original Ferguson Loader from my tractor, the problem is this. The loader lifter ( if thats what its called) that is located to the right of the seat has 3 bolts that hold this unit onto the side of the tractor. If I remove this shifter will fluids spill out? Will I have to put bolts or screws into these holes after I remove this unit. This may sound like a dumb question but Im very new to this tractor thing. Any help would be great

Hey there gents, I just felt I had to post. I'm from the Ottawa area with a fairly recent TO 35 purchase. We had a Te 20 '48 on the farm when I was younger. In any case today I was trying to unstuck PTO clutch by hooking up diverse implements such as 75' ft grain auger and a much too big snowblower for this machine to no avail.
Wondering now if a split is in order.

Good luck and nice to see folks from Ontario patch.

sounds like a stuck release bearing on your clutch , should be an inspection plate underneath , look there first----Bill

I am assuming that you are talking about a valve that fits under 3 pt lever . If so , remove valve and plug any holes (3) with short cap screws . Also disconnect any hydraulic lines and replace with plugs , should be 3/8 NC . Princess Auto is a goldmine for that kinda stuff . I am in Perth area , any probs email me and I'll give you my phone number . I've got 2 of the little grey rascals .--- Bill

Hi Bill
Thanks for the info, I had a good look at it last night and I think I have it figured out, the screw or bolt size is a big help. Im removing this loader for one simple reason, its useless as all get out. Im sure it was fine in its day but not for me. Im restricted to only the loader when its on. It hooks onto the 3 point hitch under the tractor as a kind of counter reaction to the lifting motion. So the use is restricted to only that. Thanks again for your help. If your ever down my way stop in. Im only about 8 miles south of Marmora on highway # 14

Those little loaders were great in their day , beat forking by hand . But they really tied up a Fergie , I guess that's why most of them have come off. They can't compare to new loaders , I've got a MF274 with Allied 495 Quik-Tach on it , can knock it off in less than 5 minutes , same to put it back on . Fergie is a gem around farm for lighter work , ours was bought new in 1952 , dad worked it as his only tractor for years. It's a point of honour for me to keep it running well , it starts better than I do on a cold morning. Enjoy your Fergie---Bill

Hi Bill
We had a Ferguson when I was a kid on dads little 50 acers. The tractor was used to culivate the garden. When Mom and dad would go out on a Friday night I use to jump on it and head down the road for a little tour. That was great till I got caught. I bought mine last year complete with the ferguson loader and converted to 12 volt from an elderly gent in Warkworth for $1500, a steal. It does start great at 30 below. I have been looking for a small bush hog to do some grass cutting on my 100 acers, but they are like finding a needle in a hay stack. Great to hear your stories
