I have been trying to take off my oil pan on a to35. I have followed advice of several of losening the front end and tapping the side of the pan with a block of wood. Well tonight I guess I hit it to hard and broke out a piece of the pan. It still is stuck on. do I dare heat it? If and when I get it off will it be repairable? If not where would you suggest I look for one? I looked in the parts available on this site and did not find a pan available. Yes all bolts are out of the pan. Appreciate any advice!

Sounds like it was put on with harding permatex! You may need to take a charp putty knife or thin sharp wood chisel and tap it in the seam all the way around the pan till you break it loose. Don't hit the pan and don't try to spread it to much at a time. Good Luck and take your time! Mark H.

Thanks Willy your suggestion of useing a putty knife worked. It was the permatex. Even with the putty knife and hammer it took quite a while to get it loose. Now I hope I can get the piece welded back onto the pan that I broke off.

Just got off a hot site on the N-Board! Glad you got it off. Take it to a machine shop and see if they can weld it back for you. They repair this kind of stuff all the time and know how to do it right. Mark H.
