Can anyone help a new ferguson owner please? I've just bought a petrol/paraffin model without any papers and the guy I got it from knew little about it. The engine has S228046E stamped on it. Is it possible to tell the year of manufacture and anything else from this? Is there any other identifier hidden anywhere? I'd be grateful for any suggestions and also any tips for good spare parts suppliers in the UK as I'm completely new to tractors. I have a few acres and needed a small tractor to cut the grass and do a bit of rotovating. Anyone got a rotary pasture topper going?

I normally have 6/8 on the go at any one time and it will make a change to do one in England as most are in the USA or Canada.
I've got two Ferguson one I've just restored and one waiting so i'm sure I can help with parts and suppliers as well
